Returm Item Denied


I had a return for a PS3 12GB game station. I go Monday because I work 7 days a week only time I had. I bring back a couple games and the system, they return the games with no problem. They tell me the system was over the 15 day return and they can't take it, but I read on the return policy it was considered a Christmas gift and had the extension. So they tell me no, I go to my car and speak with Walmart online customer service. They told me the battery is a Lithium Ion and it is a federal something and it was a mandatory return anyways and I had until Friday to return it. He said the manager CAN do a manual override. So I go back in again, and explained to them everything the man had said to me. The young girl calls a manager over mean while there is a long line and she's chatting with another worker in Spanish laughing and looking at me, I'm saying sorry to the people behind, even though they should've been dealing with them while I waited for management. Manager comes over and the 3 of them start speaking in Spanish and they turn their back to me giggling speaking Spanish and one was cleaning her finger nails, I felt ignored. But after a few minutes of them doing that the manager takes my receipt barely looks at it and says "there's no way I can do an override my computer won't allow it" So I said "I was told you could by customer service on the phone, and it's also a recall because of the battery..." But she said it again she couldn't. So that was twice I was sent away. I call customer service again, and the were extremely nice and very good to me, they even agreed with me that the ladies were very rude, and had the right to return it and didn't understand why they didn't. So she asked if there was another Walmart close to me, and I told her yes. So I went to Saugus Walmart today and they returned it without any questions, except "Is this defective?" But, I believe it's mandatory. But it was never opened. I was in and out of Walmart in Saugus within 10minutes. Why couldn't Walmart in Lynn have don't that for me? I am extremely disappointed and very hurt by my horrible experience with Lynn's Walmart. I think the WHOLE entire store could use a re-training course, I had the worst experience while shopping there during Christmas. They make all Walmart's look bad.
